Customer Interview

Q1. What COSRX products are you using? And did you use?

- Currently my skincare is 80% COSRX!  It's hard to find products that suits my   sensitive skin without too much irritation. These days I'm using Low PH Good   Morning gel cleanser, One step moisture up pad, nourishing rice overnight  mask, hyaluronic acid intensive cream, advanced snail 92 cream, and Shield fit snail essence. I'm currently in trial period with the snail 92 cream to see if it   does anything to help my acne scars. My holy grail is both of the Acne Patches!   Ever since I know of their existence, I no longer fret when I have acne! :D

  - Previously I have used the AHA/BHA clarifying toner but it didn't do much to my skin so I stopped using it after finishing the whole bottle. I've also tried the Moisturizing honey overnight mask but I feel like the Rice one suits me better.

Q2. How did you find out COSRX and the products?

 - I found out about COSRX when I was watching a YouTube video from LiahYoo. I always watch her channel since she taught a lot of tips and knowledge for skin problems. In one of her videos she recommended the Low PH cleanser from COSRX for sensitive skin so I decided to give it a try. It was the only cleanser (so far) that didn't dry out my skin after cleansing. My face didn't dry out as fast or feel as tight as before I start using the cleanser. Since then I keep trying other COSRX products and add them in my skincare routine.

COSRX Low pH Cleansers

Q3. What was/is your first impression about COSRX and the products?

- My first impression when I saw COSRX is that the packaging is so simple and minimalistic. Where I'm from, our skincare packaging looks very different and more elaborate so I was intrigued by this LOL. As for the product, I have never heard of the brand therefore I was a bit skeptical. It takes courage for me to try   new skincare products, and the only assurance I get from this brand is that the ingredients looks safe. There's also a lot of good reviews online.

Q4. What skin concerns did you have?

- I used to have flawless skin all throughout my childhood and teenage years.   After I finished high school I went studying abroad away from my hometown. It's probably due to stress but my skin gradually turned dry and sensitive. Acne and blackheads starts showing up all over my forehead. Since I never knew   about skincare I was feeling so lost. I started researching about skincare during   my final year in Uni because back then in the UK, with the harsh winter and dry air, my skin starts to swell and my face is covered with acne and pus. I feel like my Asian skin just gave up on me and the unfamiliar weather at that time LOL.

Q5. What was/is your AM/PM skincare routine? It’s Okay to mention other brands and products.

- Since I have sensitive skin and I am still learning about skincare, I try to keep my daily skincare routine as simple as possible.

Q6. Could you share your beauty tip?

 - First and foremost, it's super important to know your skin type and what ingredients it can handle. YouTube was my teacher and savior when I had   nobody to talk to about my skin concerns. I had a trip to a dermatologist before but although the doctors are helpful,  it was too expensive.

 - Diet is important not just for your healthy BMI but also for your healthy skin. Products helps our skin from the outside while a good healthy diet helps from the inside. I drank plenty of water, ate less sugary food/drink, less fried food and no dairy. Substituted dairy milk with almond milk or soya milk. Also, I found out I was quite allergic to chicken. Yes, CHICKEN. I realized every time I had chicken my skin will break out the next day. It's been almost 3 years without chicken, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make T_T So be careful of your allergies too and go do a test to find out if you have any. It could be the cause to your acne.

 - I change my pillow sheet every week and tied up my hair when I sleep to avoid my hair from touching and irritating my face.

 - It's very important to form YOUR OWN skincare routine. It doesn't have to be too elaborate, as long as your skin is comfortable and moisturized. When I first started doing skincare, the basic must have is a gentle cleanser, a good moisturizer and the acne patch. I build up my routine and added the other steps   when my acne starts to fade away.

 - Love your skin. Treat it gently like a baby. :) Never use harsh materials like rough face towel/tissue or drag your skin when drying. Always pat them dry.

Q7. How long did it take to see the result?

 - After using COSRX and having a proper skincare routine, it took me about almost a year until my skin barrier feels healthy again. The result was slow but   it was consistent. It takes patience and discipline to regain my healthy skin back. Of course there will be ups and downs, especially if I don't maintain the routine.

Q8. After your skin was improved, how did you feel and why?

 - After my skin starts getting better, I feel a lot more confident and most importantly, more comfortable. Before, it was hard to even wash my face with water because it will sting and turn read or feel too warm. I very rarely wear makeup but having acne-free face gives me the same confidence as when I was wearing them.

Q9. What comes to your mind about COSRX and why?

 - Before finding out about this brand, I never really have any opinion since it was not really advertised in my hometown or talked about within my circle of   friends.

  - After knowing this brand, I wish it is more mainstream and sold in my local drugstore. Currently, only selective places are selling COSRX here in Malaysia T_T

Q10. Can you recommend any other COSRX products and why?

  - I have not tried any other COSRX products other than the ones I've mentioned here but if I had to recommend one product, it'll be the amazing acne patch. Definitely my skincare holy grail!

COSRX Patches

Q11. What is the major reason when you choose skincare/beauty products?

 - I will always look at the list of ingredients. I have a list of ingredients I am allergic to. It takes time, money and sacrifices to test which products/ingredients   suits my skin but it was so worth it. I also took note of the functions of each ingredients so its easier for me to look for products that helps my current skin   concern.

- Another reason is the price. I don't necessarily believe in expensive products because the ingredients are all the same with the less expensive ones. (Also because I'm always broke after paying my bills). Affordability is as important as the ingredients.

Q12. Do you have any ideas for new products?

 - I'm not sure if COSRX already have this product line, but I wish to see more COSRX makeup other than the cushion cream. I don't wear makeup because my skin is sensitive and I'm too scared to try on foundations, concealer or powder since it broke me out everytime I use them. If COSRX have a makeup line, i’d probably give it a try since I personally have more faith in this brand than any other brand :D

 - Body soap from COSRX would be amazing if it's the same like the Low PH cleanser !

Q13. If you have more to say, then please go ahead.

 - I'm grateful for brands like COSRX exists, but I wish future packaging would be   more environmentally friendly. I don't really remember where I read this, but a   skincare brand allows their consumers to return empty bottles/tubes to be   recycled by the brand. Maybe COSRX can follow suit or offer a better idea on making the packaging eco friendly :)

The moment your skin meets #COSRX, you can expect more tomorrow.
